One of the best museum I have ever been to, it's worth the visit. These vernacular houses all over the Wales were moved to this museum. It is a free entry except the parking costs 6. Definitely will return again.

One of the best museums I have ever been to. It’s free entry but 6 parking. Due to corona we had to pre book. Definitely worth the visit. The museum has done an excellent job of keeping original houses/ farms in great condition. They move these houses/ farms from all over wales and carefully rebuild them. There is also so much to see. Would recommend to anyone in the area, it’s also close in distance to Cardiff. The entrance/ exit is very clean and the staff are friendly. The staff in the houses/ farms take a moment to explain the history which was lovely. Will definitely return to see the remaining buildings

Peaceful to go, very relaxing and interesting. Not like another commercial garden and castle. Free entry only paid 6 for parking.

We spent a lovely afternoon walking in the grounds . Also had a lovely fish and chips take away for lunch.

My family visits the Museum of Welsh Life a number of times each year. A lovely setting for a walk and to pop in to whichever buildings we fancy. It's quite a task to visit all the buildings in a day, as they keep adding more each year. We usually visit the castle gardens and the Italian garden is a beautiful, tucked away delight. With the current Covid situation bookings are online and numbers are restricted. Good signage and one way systems meant we felt very safe. The gardens and general maintenance around the huge site were excellent although nothing trumped the Celtic Crunch ice cream which was simply stunning! Thoroughly recommend. Back soon. Diolch

Especially enjoyed the castle grounds and gardens. Impressed with the structures that have been relocated and rebuilt on this site. My favourite is the church. Cockpit and red Stuart House are great too
