Beautiful viewpoint over the river. The path is lovely to walk on as well. Wide and over so very accessible. The town has lots of great independent shops and pubs that are worth a visit as well.

I can see why it was described as the most beautiful view in England and therefore the world. Well worth a stop to just pause and admire the view and then drop down the radical steps (they are pretty extreme!) and take the footpath to devil's bridge.

A nice walk down to the viewpoint from the village through St Mary's churchyard. Good vistas of the countryside & River Lune, then continue the walk to Devil's Bridge.
