Robert (me) and Margie. I took Margie to the Campsie Hills as it was her first time. She love it. So we drove further into the hills and took more photos. We came to a right turn on the road and stopped to find out on google map ehat was further down that road. I seen a large Loch. So we drove towards it and took more photos when we got there. Then decided to drive to the end of it. Which we were so glad we did so, as we came to Duncarron and seen the forestry entrance and seen the poster for the Medieval fort. I was like Yessss we need to go in here. Ya dancing bear. No known what we would see here. We spotted this guy dressed up in Robin Hood type clothes. Yesss. Photos. He told us about the Fort and to give it a visit and see others dressed up the same. So we headed up like he said. Well to our surprise, things got better. We signed in at the gate and they took our Email addresses. The other guys told us about what was to happen here and how things are progressing etcetera. There are swords and other weapons for you to see and handle and dress up if possible. There is going to be other events like the Red Coats and others similar the Braveheart and past Medieval History. Things are to get better as time goes on, so they need all the advertising they can get. There is a Facebook page you can look at to find out future events. So spread the word and let this place be known. Its good fun for the kids too and a wonderful day out. Entry fee this month is free. But will have to pay in the coming month's. It will be worth the month for what we have seen. This event we expand as time goes on. Its going to be excellent. Its awesome. Fantastic. Post your photos everywhere you can do. ( These Guys Have Put Lots Of Money Into This For Our Enjoyment ) so let this Happen enjoy enjoy enjoy you day out kids as well.

Discovered this little gem by accident. Excellently reconstructed fort and plenty of enthusiastic volunteers. Well worth a visit esp. with interested kids. Thanks Claire for all the info.

Worth the drive up from the borders. Had a great day out at the Vikings and Saxons event, now I have an exhausted dog and child (who spent most of her time screaming 'Mjolnir!' at the top of her lungs before assaulting the re-enactors with her freshly purchased, soft toy, Mjolnir replica) good times....
