Quite simply the best place you could take your Smart for maintenance and/or repair. Always friendly and accommodating and with real expert knowledge that comes from a genuine passion for these amazing little cars. Spare parts seem to be always on the shelf so work is completed quickly and efficiently and the whole exercise represents excellent value for money. I wouldn't sent my smart car anywhere else :-)

I wouldn’t trust anyone else. I’ve had Smart Cars for 20 years and Sam provides, quite simply, the best care I could possibly give a car. I’ve used many garages for other household cars and been bitterly disappointed again and again. So much so that I do most of the other car servicing work myself but I trust Sam more than I trust myself to make sure a job on my Smart is done right. I have to know that my wife and child’s safety are in the hands of someone I can trust and someone who cares. A job done well is worth the 60 mile round trip every time. Thank you Sam. I’ll be back. (Prices are great compared to Merc as well ).

Sam saved the day after my local garages were not keen to diagnose and repair my wee smart for two. I found out about Sam after reading about him in smart car forums. Very reasonable and professional, even though I had a 100 mile round trip to get to Sam , definitely wouldn't go anywhere else's. He is Mr Smart.

So you have a Smart and you need it serviced or you have a problem... Go to a Mercedes dealer: you'll get a cup of coffee in a china cup, with saucer; probably get a selection of today's newspapers; get a comfy seat and be able to watch tv; get a whacking great bill; probably not get all the work you thought you were getting done, carried out; probably not get the fault sorted. Then you find out about Smart Car Scotland. Of course you could save you time and money and go straight to Sam. OK, you may well get a cuppa, but it will be in a mug in a portacabin. The car parking is not beautiful tarmac and you won't get your car power-washed after it's service... as if any Roadster owner wants a power wash near their car! However you will get the opportunity to meet Mr Grumpy, who under this façade is actually some form of automotive wizard who knows more about Smarts than the main dealers and possibly even the manufacturers. Sam's hourly rate is fair... especially as he knows what he is doing so faults are diagnosed and rectified quickly, keeping costs down. Sam has a stock of spares and service parts, but he also has a stock of serviceable parts removed from Smarts, which are beyond economical repair. I am quite sure Sam could sort a variety of vehicles... but he doesn't. Sam is a Smart Specialist and consequently he has amassed considerable knowledge covering all varieties of Smart... though he has a passion for the two Roadster variants. Suffice it to say, I would not go anywhere else with my Roadster.
