As of 2015, usually only prepaid mobile phones are sold with a SIM lock. Phones sold with a contract stipulating monthly payments are not typically locked (as the monthly payments are due no matter what network the phone is used on). Also, most providers will unlock the phone on demand

A lovely gentleman in the queue insisted i go in front of him, i had just finished a 12hr night shift and was tired so i really appreciated his kindness but when i got to the counter the lady serving, think she was manageress, spoke to me rudely saying it wasnt my turn and to move out of the way even tho the man was still inisisting to her that i go 1st, i was disgusted with the way she spoke to me and her lack of customer service and wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
