Hello I had a running issue with my Honda outboard so I asked them if they could clean the carb out and do a service. After 3 weeks I called and it was ready. I picked it up and the owner said he hadn't serviced it as I requested because he wasn't willing to order the parts. But just for cleaning the carb out the bill was 100. I took the engine straight home put it on the boat in the water, started it up and after my letting it run on the choke till it was warm up pushed the choke in it cut out. After about 45mins trying different things it still would not run. I rang small engine and they said that they would look at it again but not for another 2 weeks so I said but I've just paid you 100 to fix it, they replied, it was running fine when it left here so that's not our problem is it? Overpriced with zero customer service

I returned my chainsaw after a new filter was fitted to cure a cutting out issue. To set the scene I explained the same problem existed when dropping the machine back in a few weeks later. In picking up the machine for a 2nd time after waiting many weeks for the repair to be completed, I was met with a bill of double my first bill and so enquired whether I should be paying all of it (for sure some of it) considering the issue wasn't properly fixed first time round, this provoked an immediate and uncalled for tirade of aggressive language from both the business owner and his technician, to the extent that they were threatening not to release my chainsaw back to me. Feeling duly threatened I paid my bill and was glad to leave the premises....all I can say is, take caution, rational dialogue does not work with this company and 'customer service' convention in trying to find a reasonable outcome was not willing or forthcoming.

They are lovely. Knowledgeable & helpful. They sold us a petrol lawnmower & strimmer which are fantastic. Currently servicing for us. I recommend most highly.

Not very helpful, phoned yesterday regarding a problem with Makita Chain saw, they seemed to know what I was talking about. Went this morning, spoke to an elderly gentleman about issues with the machine. He was not helpful and to my disgust he said Makita Tools were a load of rubbish. I am a retired Heating & Plumbing Engineer, I employed 25 plumbers and most of the tools that I supplied to those operatives, and which I still use to this Day are Makita. Will not use this form again Regards C H Beard
