I've had problem after problem with castle and coates, i complained in 2018 about issues with the property and the lack of service we pay for. When I ask for a complaints form they say you must write a letter. Wrong they legally abliged to do it. The property's around Rampkin Pastures Appleby are a terrible.

DO NOT BUY A HOUSE WITH THESE PEOPLE. We bought a house from this company a year ago and they have no idea what they are doing. 30 restrictions about what we can do with our freehold house. 5 months our ground source heat pump didn’t work. A year later and all our boundaries are still wrong, our grass is virgin field grass with rocks and is lumpy and uneven. Each person you speak with at customer services doesn’t do anything, you then call back and speak to someone else as nothing is recorded and they have no organisation skills to resolve any problems. 6 people have been tasked with sorting the issues above out and 1 retired, 1 left, 1 ignored emails, 1 didn’t have a clue what she was doing and so a few emails to the director we have some dates for rectification but then again we have had dates 6 months ago when we had a meeting. This company is a complete joke who only care about making money in their service charges and once they have your money they are not interested. We even received a 1 year warranty expiration letter and all problems are now up to us as we are the homeowner.. charming. Save yourself the hassle and buy from a reputable company who know how to deal with selling property and will endeavour to provide some customer satisfaction as castles and coasts will not, at all.

I was told I couldnt purchase my house via the right to aquire. I did my own research with homes England, it appeared I could buy the house. If they tell you that you can't purchase your house do your own research. They don't know what there on with... By the time they digged there heels arranging valuations etc I purchased a house elsewhere. Joke of a housing association.
