The centre itself was clean and tidy and had clear instructions on how to navigate the centre safely. Unfortunately, the car park ticket meter only takes coins, so not notes or cards, which was a little frustrating. With covid-19 no one is dealing with cash and we found it quite difficult to get change. So, if you are planning on parking there, make sure you have change. The toilets were very clean and tidy and were a very welcome sight after a few hours of walking up Mam Tor. Plus there was a quaint little stream running beside the car park which was lovely to walk next to. The whole day and experience was pleasant and I would highly recommend.
Does the job. Sells maps for the surrounding area and gives information for the different hiking trails, but online guides still trumped it in terms of ease and helpfulness. Giving back to the local community is always nice, so bought a map before we set off, but ended up referring to the online guide for the majority of the hike. Social distancing rules were followed with a sanitiser station and one way markings, whilst having to wear a mask at all times.
Good little shop selling gifts relevant to the national Park but in normal times museum and information relevant to the area plus there's a great cafe
Great place to visit on the motorbike, caution Winnats pass is steeper than you think. Lol
