We have been to this cafe in this very pretty setting a few times now. A lovely garden with outdoor seating. I spent most of the time watching the sparrows popping in and out of the old walls around the garden whilst eating my gorgeous cream tea. Ive not seen a prettier country garden cafe.

THE best tea room I have been to this year, and I know what your saying it's 2020 you can't have been too many, but that's where you would be wrong I have been to at least five. My only critiscm would be heat those God damn scotch eggs up and MOOOOORRRRREEEEEEE mustard for mustard heads like yours truly. What a life-saver!! In need of coffee and we find this tea-room open ( simply ring the bell for a take-away ) against all odds. The proprietors were lovely and we talked at length about the area and their fascinating lives. Situated in a divine cottage with an imposing ruin in its garden and the easily accessible coastline, and plenty of parking at a reasonable price. It is our new go-to favourite for our sea-fix.
Lovely spot. Nice staff. Too many wasps. Poor jam (red jelly really.) Tasteless scones. So not a great cream tea but delightful setting. 5 star setting. 3 star cream tea.
Fantastic tea and cake in a beautiful garden surrounded be sparrows and swifts. Coffee and walnut cake excellent - generous portion so half each was plenty for my mum and I! I was also impressed they had decaf and dairy-free options. The only downside was the wasps, who seemed to particularly like the jam in the cream teas..
