As a non Jewish person visiting here I felt very welcome and respected by the people who were in charge. They took their time to explain things and made me feel comfortable

As a Christian I have attended the Yeshurun and found the welcome both warm and sincere. Cordial greetings therefore to all Jewish friends especially on this day.

Best family synagogue in south Manchester Works for me

John Ferrier Rice

I attended an event at Yeshurun Synagogue in Gatley in south Manchester. It was a most interesting event where a Retired Lt Col from the Israelis Defence Force (IDF) gave a talk on \ Operation Good Neighbour.\ This was humanitarian operation by the IDF to assist Syrian civilians who were fleeing the civil war in Syria. The IDF gave them food, water, clothing, shoes, accommodation and medical assistance. The Syrian children in particular where medically assisted by the IDF. It was nice that the Syrian civilians met Jewish people and members of the IDF. This goes against all that they had been taught about Jewish people and Israelis. They saw Jewish people and Israelis as humanitarian people. The leters/notes of thanks given in Arabic to the members of the IDF who assisted them was heart felt and quite touching for the soldiers of the IDF who received them. I just wish that Jeremy Corbyn and members of Momentum in the Labour Party had attended the event. It would of hopefully changed his and their views on the State of Israel.
