I think that this is quite important to raise this issue I have encountered recently, I believe that I am not the only one customer who encountered this. Postman left \something for you\ notice as I wasn't home at time, where according to opening hours advised on this notice it supposed to be opened till 1900, drove in a hurry in a hope to be able to collect my important parcel awaiting. Once arrived at 1850 hrs rude lady working over there literally blocked me from entering premises like I was trying to break into premises or something else, stating that I was supposed to check opening hours on-line, like it was my responsibility, sadly there are quite a few OTHER places giving inaccurate opening hours as I checked online during ongoing situation so I never bothered before making my way towards post office to collect my parcel. Given a current situation it is totally understandable that opening hours are changed to keep members of staff safe as well as visiting customers, but why not to advise about this on actual advisory notes left by postman/postwoman in the first place, which would make life a lot easier for everybody, as I believe that there are definitely customers who might not have access to Internet, or Wouldn't know how to use such as facilities despite modern era we live in.

Had four christmas cards delivered to my place of work and all came in a terrible state. Every card had been ripped open, one so much that i'm surprised it was even delivered as the envelope was barely in one piece. They'd obviously been torn open looking for money which thankfully was not inside. Just extremely disappointed and annoyed as you'd think the Royal Mail would provide the best service, clearly not. What a disgrace.
The staff always try their best to stay positive but often they are rushed off their feet. I dread going there to pick up as always a long queue and parking is a nightmare. Considering its the main depot for Chelmsford they should expand the collection waiting area and parking to accommodate the volume of clients. Yes we are clients and deserve better but don't think it means anything to Royal Mail!
Been here many times, some busy and some not so busy, and normally have no problems over the counter and the staff are generally happy and helpful
Polite Staff - but they cant help you if come to collect a parcel without producing ID.
