I joined Toastmasters in 2016 in order to improve my public speaking skills. I knew this was an area I needed to develop for my work and I had my wedding coming up (including the Groom's speech!). Chelmsford Speakers Club gave me a warm welcome when I attended my first meeting as a visitor. I got to experience what club meetings were like and knew it would give me the development opportunities I needed. I quickly joined up as a member and haven't looked back. I have made 8 prepared speeches so far and now regularly receive strong postive feedback on my speaking skills both in Toastmasters and at work. Joining Chelmsford Speakers and taking an active part in the programme has given me far more than I could have hoped for when I first joined - and it's kind on the wallet too!
