Prithvi Reviews | Rating 4,8 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Prithvi is located in Cheltenham, United Kingdom on 37 Bath Rd. Prithvi is rated 4.8 out of 5 in the category fine dining restaurant in United Kingdom. Cheltenham’s Prithvi Restaurant, located on the Bath Road, is inspired by no less than Mother Earth – Prithvi being the ancient Sanskrit translation. The restaurant offer a refined and sophisticated approach to dining, sticking to a concept of understated elegance in every aspect, from food to service. Prithvi’s dining room sets the scene for a very special dining experience, the surroundings calm and understated, painted in cream, tables dressed in white and gleaming silver and glassware and with attractive artworks on the wall. Staff are equally well turned out, gliding from table to table as they serve steaming plates of freshly cooked food and quietly take orders, give menu advice and pour wine. Prithvi’s menu is much more than just simple Indian food. It’s prepared using fine, luxury ingredients with dishes cooked to order and though the basics are rooted in Indian tradition, the execution takes its inspiration from modern gourmet approaches

Exceptional! Ordered from the Prithvi@Home menu - Michelin star quality food in the comfort of our own home. Third time ordering from the Home menu and cannot fault it. Food beautifully presented and the taste is sublime. Treat yourself - it’s well worth it!

Nice Indian food, the service in general was good. We decided to try the tasting menu... Portions, you do get small portions in tasting menus but you end up satisfied, I was still hungry after those tiny courses. As I said the food was nice but to be honest the lamp and the deer were tasteless, the rest of the menu just lovely

Amazing restaurant for special occasions or if you just like to enjoy very good food. Reservations are almost compulsory but you're in for a treat. Prices however are accordingly but then again if you still remember what you ate a year from now who is going to complain. Come on :-)

During this difficult time with Covid 19, there was no social distancing by the staff at this restaurant. No masks or shields were being worn by the staff, gloves worn by the waiters were cotton (which is far worse than bare hands for spreading the virus). The waitets had no regard for personal space. They continuously stretched over us poring water and wine, and laying cutlery on the table. It's not rocket science to lay a table with all the cutlery for a complete meal at the start and to leave a bottle of wine and water on the table for me to pour.
