Visited this afternoon by chance as the original music shop we had intended to visit was closed upon arrival, in reflection a form of divine intervention. Had the pleasure of meeting ‘Bear’ just as he was about to leave, bags on the shoulder, ready for the off. We felt bad so we said we would come back again but without hesitation he turned around and welcomed us back inside. There was a guitar lesson happening away from us in the corner, some incredibly beautiful instruments on display and the entire vibe was just wholesome. I felt comfortable asking questions and trusted the insight and genuine service I was getting. I’m more than pleased with my purchase and honestly I can’t recommend this place enough, doubt I’ll shop anywhere else from now on. Thank you!

Someone else has mentioned this... Opening Hours on Google contradict the ones on the Facebook page. Tried them at Monday about 11 and they were closed when their Facebook page (which is updated regularly) said open. This is very annoying. A real shame as the store looks good online. If this can be amended then I'll happily revise my review. EDIT: I've amended my review as you've said the issue with Facebook is out of your control. However, it must be said you ought not to take my negative review as a personal insult, its just that you must understand the situation from a customer's perspective. I just hope no one travels a long way and finds you're closed.

A fantastic little shop that for a change has staff that actually know about what they are selling. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and even as a total novice there was nothing intimidating about the place as they staff were very patient and answered questions so clearly, and not using music 'jargon' but terms that a total novice could understand. I have also been having lessons with them and to my total surprise they had me playing a basic blues riff by the end of the lesson bearing in mind that I'm not musically inclined at all and have never played any instrument in my life. Both Callum and Peter are patient and so encouraging during lessons even when my fat fingers are butchering a rock classic. They also have a great way of sneaking in a bit of music theory here and there so as you learn to play you also learn the background of how and why music works but it's never to heavy going just nice relevant snippets. I would highly recommend this shop to anybody who is interested in buying or learning to play guitar or ukulele as the staff and tutors care. Another great thing is that a lot of local players in bands use the shop and they are a goldmine of information and always ready to give you good practical advice.

Best guitar/music shop you could possibly find. Our son bought a beautiful used Tanglewood acoustic guitar from this shop, and all three of us had nothing but pure relaxed fun with Pete and Lisa the owners. There was choice, welcomed humour, (so relaxed and friendly) I could go on. This was a superb buying experience, from the start to the finish. Highly Recommend, 5 Stars.

Had my guitar fixed and the service was excellent. The price was very reasonable too! I also had taster guitar lesson with my daughter which was great. The guitar tutor was really good! I'm made up I've found this shop!
