I formerly worked at Premco as a quality controller. During my time there, I met some brilliant people and the work environment overall wasn't too bad. However, there are some seriously big problems with the company. 20 minutes break per day (full time), minimum wage for almost everyone there, and sacked with no warning, without a reason given. No prior disciplinaries or warnings at all, and no gross misconduct. I had a full time contract also rather than a temporary one. All of the staff were great, I didn't dislike anyone I met there. However, the company's director and two of the higher ups in the company's hierarchy are extremely unpleasant people with a reputation for firing employees for trivial issues and replacing them. This goes to show how little the director cares for his employees, as everyone is viewed as expendable and replaceable. The company offers no benefits at all, with very little scope to climb the career chain. Essentially, the position you get is the position you are stuck in until you leave; there are no promotions. I strongly urge any would-be employees to avoid this place like this plague; the only good thing at Premco are the folks who work there (except for those mentioned above). They will over-work you, pay you pennies and replace you when they feel like it.
