Chris is an exceptional trainer, always able to explain what you need to know and a little more, so you can keep stretching yourself. Both my wife and I found Chris to be extremely knowledgeable with respect to the area as well as photographing the locations. Although we were not able to go to our preferred waterfall location or the moor when the heather was at its best, due to re-scheduling for COVID, we still took some wonderful photos. We are already talking about when we go on another course!

I had a fantastic time on the Beginners Course last Saturday. We were a small group and Chris had taken the time to find out about which camera each individual would be using beforehand. He is very enthusiastic and skilled and obviously enjoys helping others to develop and improve their own technique. Time was spent explaining different functions in a straightforward manner and reviewing individual photographs. We all received individual attention whilst taking and trying to improve our shots. I have used my camera a lot but always in one of the ‘auto’ modes. I will now be practising using manual settings and hoping to improve the quality of my shots. I will hopefully complete one of Chris’s other course when I have refined my skills a little. I received a voucher for the course as a gift - it was a fabulous gift but I would also recommend treating yourself if you are interested in learning more about your camera.
Very enjoyable and informative course introducing digital photography. Explained clearly as a pace suitable for all. Impressed with Chris's ability to teach students with a variety of camera makes and types.
A small socially distanced easy going one day course led by James from Peak Digital Training and who offered a wealth of knowledge, a loan of extra equipment and just the right amount of support without being overbearing in the slightest. The small group was friendly and the day was tailored and structured at a pace to allow this participants poor mobility not to feel like a hindrance to the group. We drove between locations and I took photos whilst sitting on rocks. Bliss! Personally I learn best when watching others demonstrate techniques and James has that knowledgeable manner that feels like its an old friend not a teacher just helping you expand your own knowledge and skill set. Id definitely recommend the course. I learned how to use a new technique and I learned how not to do a few things as well;). Its a big thanks from me.
A worthwhile investment for anyone wanting to get to grips with using their camera off Auto. Chris explained the key principles clearly and ensured he knew the level of the audience so as not to baffle or patronise. It has rekindled my interest in photography and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get the best out their camera. PS the pub lunch went down well!
