This is a lovely little bakery in Helmsley, especially as they are up against Thomas the Bakers just round the corner ( which is also great!) Cinnamon Twist isn’t cheap but boy! their cakes & bread are gorgeous. Today I bought a white crusty loaf & their HUGE cheese straws - at least 1 foot long & so tasty.

Excellent selection of breads and cakes/pastries - all to die for!! Sad to hear the Helmsley shop will be closing but I'm sure an orderly queue will form at the replacement market stall in Helmsley on Friday mornings. Thanks to Cinnamon Twist for not leaving Helmsley entirely.

Delightful selection of sweet and savory baked products. Particularly the walnut and Stilton cheese scones, they are fantastic especially when toasted with butter.

Amazing selection of artisan breads baked daily on the premises (at 3 in the morning!!!), cakes and savories to die for. Well worth the detour to find something for lunch. Now off for a 30 mile bike ride to wear off the coffee, caramel and mascarpone layer cake...

Incredible bakery! Beats any other I've ever visited, well worth a look - the giant meringues in the window are enough to make even the most savoury taste drool.
