I bought a used car in June, and asking about the warranty I was told if the fault was on the car before its sold then clarion cars are responsible. So they do an inspection before releasing the car (PDI). It now needs 2 new front shocks (which is an advisory on the last 2 Mot's), a new aircon compressor (funny - I needed to get the gas refilled), and new glow plugs (the fault light always came on after starting), and a new brake pipe. Strange how non of these faults were found on the PDI, and funny how I paid for an extended warranty for 6 months - but Clarion Cars won't fix any of these faults or ring you back when they say they will. My advice is don't trust the PDI and don't expect them to fix anything once they've got your money. I have a PDI inspection printout which shows no faults on the car. It is still less than 6 months I have had the car so wouldn't it be easier just to fix the faults???? No they will do everything they can not to do anything even though I paid for an extended 6 month warranty, which isn't worth the paper it's printed on!

Two separate occasions I have phoned the service department for a spare part/advise. Both times the person on the phone took my details and promised to phone me back. They never did phone me back. Why offer the service of ordering genuine parts if you're not going to follow through for your customers. Will not be using again.
