Had our daughters wedding here yesterday amid all of the government guidelines, we expected it to be intimate but not to be treated like lepers. Had to wait outside until we could sanitise and go directly up the stairs, a huge room with chairs spaced at least 10 feet apart no provision for same household couples or children with parents. All wore a mask except bride and groom which is fair enough but it felt so sad. Weren’t allowed to bring our own music, I asked if we could take a traditional picture of them signing the register but was refused, also a picture of them coming down the stairs was refused, they simply couldn’t wait to herd us out. If we were socially distanced wearing a mask how on earth was taking a picture signing a register dangerous? I take all precautions in my everyday life but sometimes things are taken too far in my opinion, the staff were uncaring and simply wanted it over and done with. My advice to couples is have a civil ceremony in a nice venue, don’t be made to feel uncomfortable there.

Had our wonderfully intimate wedding at Cleethorpes Town Hall in February 2017 and couldn't have asked for more...everyone was helpful and so nice- even when we had to change the date at short notice. Thank you to everyone for helping to make our day so special! Claire and Kit Williams.
