Ordered a collection 'Lockdown' supper of 2 meals/specials and I can honestly say they were delicious , obviously fresh fish, hot and tasty plus a side each , also hot and fresh not congealed peas or curry. Would highly recommend ordering on the website. Worth the money as there's no waste !

Great place for some amazing fish and chips. The wife and I had a day trip to Cleethorpes to wall along the beach and fancies some fish and chips. So we popped into this place on the pier. At first we thought it might be a bit of a tourist trap and it seemed a bit too fancy for what we usually find good fish and chips to be at. But we were so wrong! We ate in the restaurant which is a massive old ballroom, the staff were welcoming, friendly and well mannered. We each had a fish and chips dish, there were many varieties to choose from including burgers and chicken also. I had the signature Dish Platter, which was huge! The chips were tasty, not soggy and the fish was in a lovely crisp batter and really fresh. All for a reasonable price too. Very impressed, definitely will be back!
Take away service only cooked whilst you wait You can tell why they are rated No1 om trip adviser. The fish was excellent. Fresh Haddock and not over greasy, Chips cooked just right and peas to die for and not too expensive.
Good fish n chips, keeping our spirits up during lockdown.
Cleethorpes Pier was opened to public use on 04-Aug-1873. Originally it was built with a 1,200 foot long deck in order to span the unusually large distance between low & high tide limits. The pier is of a timber deck & pavilion (constructed in 1888) supported on iron piles. Like many east coast British piers during WW2, it was shortened down to 335 foot to guard against any German invasion attempt. Apart from a Second World War deck truncation, Cleethorpes Pier has endured the usual ups & downs of the seaside entertainment economy. It's been through the hands of various owners during its near 150 year existence, in & out of service a few times too. Happily 2020 sees the pier still functioning as a going concern following its Dec-2016 purchase & refurbishment by the Papa's Fish & Chip chain. Long may the pier at Cleethorpes continue to thrive & survive!
