Great family butchers with excellent quality meats. Maybe a bit more expensive than supermarkets but everything is locally sourced. The pies are the bees knees. Nice friendly staff.

The best pork pie.......in the world.
It's an award-winning local butcher shop, where people know what you are doing. They source local (or Yorkshire) Dexter or Aberdeen beef, and you can really taste the difference. But the selection of products they offer is broad: the hot pies are made at the shop and are very good, there is a selection of jams and sauces from Mrs Darlington, and many other bits. The cheeses are perhaps not as good as in Booths, but this is first and foremost the butcher's shop - and it's best for perhaps 30-50 miles

Best butchers in the area. They sell organic meat and it's always deliciously. their pork pies are award winning. Highly recommended.
I have been trying out several butchers in the East lancs area and this is by far the best all rounder including for that little cheeky pie for the way home.
Fabulous quality from the meats to homemade pies and quiches and importantly nothing too much bother great service.
