My father passed at the weekend. Rang early Monday morning to organize the paperwork so I could register my fathers death. To be fair a Doctor rang me back within a couple of hours, asked some questions and said paper work would be done and sent by end of day. Asked if they would contact me to let me know to was done. Was told no it will be done, we will only contact you if we need anything else. Doctors was supposed to send paperwork to registry. Called registry at end of day and they had received nothing from the Doctors. Day 2 called registry just after lunch to check if the paperwork had arrived, it hadn't. called Doctors and surprise, surprise it was sitting on the desk at reception unsent. The lady on reception was very nice and said it should have gone to Admin. She took it to admin and called me back and hour later to say it had been done. Called registry again to see if they had received the paper work and they had not. I give up.

One of my cats bit me on Tuesday night - small wound but it did start to throb the next day - I have several cats so quite experienced and this was unusual and frankly a worry . I phoned the Surgery Thursday first thing. Call handler good and offered appointment with nurse practitioner although were almost fully booked and a call back from Duty GP was first suggested. I was given clear instructions on what to do if there was any spreading of the redness and swelling and some antibiotic cream. I was very happy and relieved and the Nurse Practitioner and team were very good. I am a Carer so being seen quickly meant a lot and gave me peace of mind.

Just another conveyor belt practice in a couldn’t careless society. Constantly changing someone’s medication demonstrates a complete lack of understanding. Antidepressants are not the way forward for my elderly parent suffering with heart disease. GP’s (General Practitioners) are the result of a failed consultants, something that reflects in their attitudes at times.
