I was a pupil at this school when it catered almost exclusively for fatherless children over fifty years ago. Then it provided an excellent education on British public boarding school lines which enabled many to achieve much. Now, responding to the changing society in the modern UK and the number of fatherless children reducing, it provides top rate Public School education for day pupils in this stockbroker area. It continues in its original aim in providing for disadvantaged pupils for about 10% of its intake. As a retired teacher in the State system I have returned to the school and was impressed with the way the school had developed continuing to provide excellence in education. I just wish I had been able to offer the pupils in the State system I taught the range and quality of education that Reeds continues to provide.

It is hard to know where to begin when reviewing Reed's School - the list of positives is so long! The achievements of its pupils cover an astonishing range, from sport, music, drama and arts to public speaking, CCF, charitable & community service and, of course, first and foremost - education. Although day pupils are in the majority, the whole ethos of the school is based on a boarding school template and the vision of the Founder, Andrew Reed, where every pupil benefits from the structure of pastoral care and support that pervades the school - and the students demonstrate the results of this every time I visit. Academically, Reed's has demonstrated over many years its ability to \add value\ in the educational results of its students. Equally importantly, students leave the school having gained so much more in terms of their maturity, personality, responsibility, ambition and potential. Reed's really is a school to be proud of, as a quick review of their web sites and published literature will clearly demonstrate. The ogue\ posts from overseas hackers are fairly obvious to spot, and should be ignored. And, by the way, the school meals are excellent!!

A wonderful school with everything you could look for in a secondary school. The children are all bright and just really nice kids. The teachers are incredibly caring and look after each child as an individual not a number. The new headmaster is making some big improvements and I just see the school going from strength to strength.

Founded over 200 years ago as a school for foundlings, Reed's has progressed to a fully fledged Public School, whilst still retaining its original ethos and scholarships. Educational standards are high and the school prides itself on the care and nurturing for all pupils. As an Old Boy of the school I am amazed at the facilities now offered along with the wide range of subjects. They even have a co-educational 6th form. The school is keen to continue contact with all past pupils and has a distinguished alumni, from the world of sport, art, music and theatre, as well as the various professions.

My son is in 2nd form and he is more than happy to be there. Reeds is outstanding in education, sports, music, drama and arts. Delicious food which is well balanced and healthy. Am proud of my son growing every day into a confident young man.
