Fantastic afternoon visiting and enjoying afternoon tea and then a tour of the distillery followed by a little purchase or 2 in the shop. We loved the food and the tour was really interesting would recommend if your in the lakes district to call in and have a few hours being fascinated with this little gem. Would highly recommend.

What a lovely surprise to find the place open and serving food. We just followed the signs. On the menu was a version of a christmas meal so that's what we had. Then a visit to the distillery shop! It rounded off our morning Lake District outing superbly.

Was very interested in going on the whisky tour and as big whisky lovers, we thoroughly enjoyed it. the whisky does not disappoint and our tour guide was informative and passionate about his subject. We loved it.

A great distillery, and even better booze! The gins were really spectacular, we bought one of each of the Elderflower, Classic and Grapefruit. We didn't get a chance to eat, but looking at others who did, the food looked incredible. Lovely staff and fun, well stocked gift shop. Well worth the visit.

This experience has enlightened me about the process of making whiskey, gin and vodka. You are taken through the rooms where people are actively making the whiskey, meanwhile, the tour guide will be explaining what is happening in that specific room. At the end of the tour, you are given a free tasting session of everything that they produce. Obviously, children aren't allowed to taste the drinks but they are allowed to participate in the tour and taste session. Instead of whiskey, gin and vodka, children are given a glass of apple juice, I'm afraid that I can't tell you how good the drinks were because I'm not allowed to drink them. Believe you me, the apple juice is amazing. And from my parents' descriptions, the drinks were heavenly. But everyone has different opinions! Have fun!
