This farm shop has everything you will ever need! And to make it even better, the service has been fantastic. I had to approach the butchers to ask how their venison meat was blead (due to religious reasons) and to also ask what their chickens were fed (due to health reasons) and they took their time to answer my questions, in a knowledgeable way, even in the very busy period leading up to Xmas when there was a queue. So kind of them. Everything we have bought there has been exceptional quality, and the half chicken we bought seemed to last forever! We roasted it, and then managed to make it stretch another 3 meals. It was fantastic and so tasty! 5* farm shop. Top quality. We will continue to use them on a regular basis

Ordered a Valentine's Dinner Box. Sadly the bottle of wine was loose in the very large box which meant pretty much everything was squashed/damaged in someway. The dessert was completely unidentifiable. I contacted Blackwell's immediately and was given an apology with the agreement that someone would call Monday to resolve, unfortunately I seem to have been forgotten about. I understand the package was couriered, but had it been packed with a little thought the outcome may have been better. Plus for a 20 shipping fee I honestly expect more. You really shouldn't promise a follow up if your not going to go through with it. Very dissapointed.

Top produce, locally sourced, fairly priced with a wide variety. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. If you want good quality meat, cheese, bacon n sausage etc...plus some rather nice ice cream...this is your place.

Dreadful experience - expensive, expired produce, rude We thought we would support local farms during the current crisis as many are struggling so my husband placed an order with Blackwells. The initial impressions were find but this is where the good part stops. Our order arrived looking a state with two of the eggs having broken (what could they have done during transportation?!) and smearing everything else in the box. If that had been the extent of it, I might have accepted it was an accident but no. Almost all the vegetables and fruits ordered were expired - the use by date had passed on the day they were delivered to us. This I find unacceptable as if there is one thing I would expect from a farm, it would be freshness. To make things worse, when my husband called the company, he was asked 'what does he want?', was treated rudely by a manager who should be retrained who acted like he was doing us a favour by delivering items, and generally had a dreadful experience. My husband was quite upset by this and wants nothing more to do with them - hence me writing the review. Not to mention that it had been a very dear order - could have gotten three times as much from the supermarket and would have been much fresher. I am really sorry to leave this review as I think we should support small businesses but I think others need to know.
