I would strongly advise anyone considering EBHS to pay close attention to the recent (Dec 2011) Ofsted report. It is throrough, independent, objective, and, speaking as a parent of a child at the school, a very accurate and fair reflection of the reality. Senior staff in schools have a vested interest in how they present them, so the Ofsted report is a far better basis for a decision than the schools own PR, or than the impressions you will get from a one-off visit. (This applies to any school). Ofsted inspectors observe lessons, speak to a large number of pupils, staff, parents etc, and are highly skilled professionals with extensive backgrounds in education, and training in inspection techniques. By all means trust your own judgement, but it is wise to use the expertise at your disposal.
