The Essex Human Rights Alumni Association (EHRAA) was established at the University of Essex Human Rights Centre’s 25th Anniversary Human Rights Alumni Conference in July 2008, where the first Executive Committee was elected by some 200 alumni from all continents, representing almost every year since 1983. The aim of the EHRAA is "to build friendship and co-operation among human rights graduates of the University of Essex and between all graduates and the Human Rights Centre"
