Booked my MOT here through an intermediary - came back as a fail and was quoted over 300 to fix some wiper blades and a brake disc. I went along and spoke to the manager who showed me what cost he had passed along to the middle-man (under half of what I had been quoted) before making some simple suggestions of how I could remedy the issues myself. I opted to try this and car was retested the next day, passed the reexamination which took all of 2 minutes. Will definitely be back and would reccomend to any one. Fantastic service!
Totally amazing! Seriously concerned helpfulness from all- best garage ever used! Wouldn't dream of going elsewhere now I've found them. Trustworthy and reliable. Great communication and advisory- ask before doing- no hidden extras- everything up front!
Good bits: Very responsive to messages. That's it. Bad bits: Timing belt change was delayed by two days despite one day service promised at the beginning. When I finally got my car back, turned out it was done incorrectly and they had to do it again. That was done with another two days of delay. Garage promised to pick up car using breakdown truck, but the car was picked up and delivered on the wheels. Till today I haven't received any invoice for the job done. Oh, and forget you'll ever get to call Richie! He isn't answering any of his numbers and won't call you back for a few hours. It was such a wonderful time waiting for him to call you back and inform you won't get your car back when promised. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.
PLEASE READ!! AVOID!!!AVOID!!! as per below comments. Wish I had seen these comments before I let them touch my car. Long story short, bunch of liars with their 'manager' Richie leading con artist. I have every day messages, lies documented day after day, and will be taking it through legal path. I will make sure they will pay for waste of my time, nerves, public transport and phone calls charges! Just the day after collection, drove my car 12 miles away from the garage at 7pm when garage closes at 5pm with no approval by me. Clearly, someone was taking my car to do their own business. How unlucky for them. ABS light on the dashboard, could not be resolved within 2 weeks! Demanded car back unfixed and without mot after 10 days, as we were getting nowhere. Had 2 bottles of quality engine oil in the boot, and 1 of it was empty!Trip comp showed 90miles range at the time of collection, dropped with petrol light on, and 10 miles range. Car absolutely filthy, without mot, abs problem, and no apology. Every day Richie, was coming up with new excuse! Have to admit, this guy got some imagination. Completely unprofessional and people do not let them change a bulb in your car, I am sure it would exceed their skills.
I purchased a service and oil change voucher on Groupon and booked the car into the Rosyth garage for 8am on Monday. Phoned the garage at 10am to ask when the work would be completed and was told to come back at 1.30 to pick the car up. Turned up at 2 to find out they hadn’t done anything to the car and hadn’t even laid a finger on it. The receptionist boy gave some sob story about having to sack two staff for stealing 9 grand from them and as a result they nearly went bust and had a massive backlog. Doesn’t explain why they lied to me about my car being serviced General impression of the garage is that they are a bunch of cowboys. Avoid at all cost.
Avoid took 4 weeks and still could not replace a steering rack correctly. I've even had to supply the part as they Could not source one. There were constant lies, delays and failure to keep me updated over this period. You'd be better off blind folded with one hand behind your back and no mechanical knowledge completing the job yourself. If you like giving you money to rat like people and wasting your time go here!
Used Groupon voucher that wife got myself. Was pleasantly surprised of quality of work. Happy customer
