The South Cheshire Way, a long-distance footpath passes alongside the main entrance. Plenty of benches to stop for a sandwich when walking in the winter. A short walk from the canal towpath.

Interesting place to visit. Plenty of car parking. Shop and entrance tickets at the corner of the car park and then a short walk to the property. Amazing work by National Trust to keep it from falling down. Guided tour available around part of the hall and can walk around the rest at your own speed. Plenty of staff about to help you or answer any questions. Two coffee shop/restaurants with a decent choice available. There a virtual tour on a tablet screen for anyone that can't get up the stairs.
Most interesting place, you can really feel what it was like to live there in the middle ages. How amazing to have constructed this place centuries ago! Enthusiast lady guide on the ground floor next to the chapel.
Although closed I walked past the Hall on public footbath, always a great sight.
A lovely property with so much history attached to it. A fine example of architecture of the day. We took in the guided tour that is part of the entrance fee, though you can walk around on your own if you desire. A very interesting tour that lasts approximately 45 minutes. There are two tea rooms with a good choice of food and drink.
