My experience buying walking boots from Cotswold Outdoor in Droitwich (at Webbs) was excellent. Their staff have real depth of knowledge including which boots are best suited to different shapes of foot. The absence of sales pressure was also very refreshing, compared to some other outdoor shops I tried. Highly recommended.

I really like this store. The staff are always incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They always listen to what you want rather than try to sell the most expensive thing. It can be a bit pricey, but if you time it with sales you can grab a bargain. They will also price match the Internet, so its worth a Google if you think it might be cheaper elsewhere. I always prefer to buy my outdoors items in the flesh. Today's purchase was a sleeping bag, and the staff were great, can't wait to give it a go!

Went in to browse shoes. We were very rudely told by Roger to move away from a woman sat on a chair trying on shoes and to wait until she had finished, even though we were no where near her, we were simply looking at what was on the shelf. Common sense would surely dictate that you don’t put the single chair right next to the shelf if you’re going to bluntly say “will you move away”? We would understand if we were trying them on or squeezing past, but apparently in this store you have to queue up just to even look. Roger could use some customer service/social skills training as his attitude is what annoyed us the most. Politeness costs nothing. Or just move the chair?

Stock levels were low and I have a narrow foot. The service was superb, every suitable shoe was tried, expert advise and guidance provided. Cotswold staff really are the best.
