Superb steak, cooked perfectly with crispy thick cut chips and piquant pepper sauce, served with Butty Bach ale. Followed by crumble and custard. Atmosphere very friendly and the place is plainly popular with locals. Staff were attentive and considerate, offering us a change of table to a cosier spot for dessert. Beer not quite as well kept as other Wye Valley pubs in the area which loses it one star for me, but still recommend.

An amazing experience at this quaint country pub. A very refreshing change from the pub food and experience in London/cities - large portions at a very reasonable price, also delicious and beautifully presented! We had a Sunday lunch and they happily catered to small changes to my dish (a delicious vegetarian option). Outdoor seating with large umbrella unaffected by the rain. Their Covid protocols made us feel safe and comfortable! Felt very local and authentic. Free parking available on site. 100% would come again if I ever find myself in the area!
Lovely country pub, really nice place to relax and enjoy a sunny Sunday afternoon. Worth the trip out to be amongst like minded people and away from the riff raf!
