Crash bang wallop. Fun night out, spectacular when F1/V8 guys come to town. Go home smelling of burning rubber

I don't go as much as I used to. I find not as exiting as it was 20/30 years ago. Drivers seem to be afraid to get their cars damaged. Is this sport become to expensive now? Or is it all the rules, health & safety etc that's changed the atmosphere?
