Enjoy going for a walk here, normally bring a flask of hot chocolate that keeps the kids happy. Nice pavement for scooters and a stoney beach to throw stones. Also has a nice take away cafe here as well.

Great spot for a walk and to watch the boats.

Gurnard is a great place - you can park up and walk to Cowes. Nice beach at Gurnard and a good pub for lunch. We like it so much we are moving there !

Always my favourite beach since childhood Gurnard had a reputation for being a friendly beach and it always seems that way. However the I o W council are doing their best to ruin Gurnard. The little beach cafe has been pulled down though and the word is that residential accomodation will built in its place. Planners should stop that. Also the council are 'consulting' on introducing parking charges all the way along to Egypt Light claiming it will improve safety and traffic flow. There are strong objections to this but I wonder how much notice will be taken. There will still be parking along this stretch so the council's arguments are illogical. It's just a money grabbing exercise.

A fabulous beach which is golden pebbles and slopes into the sea. A lovely green and prominarde with old fashioned covered bench type seating and seating on the green. Happy times can be had paddling maybe with some kind of shoe on and watching the boats and ferries pass by. There are public toilets in the middle and a short walk leads into Cowes.
