I love the lake district anyway but to have a cottage like Crag Lea as a base to explore from was a pleasure. Fantastic views that beckon you to walk out the front door my family and me managed to walk to the top of cats bells and on the other side Kings howe or along more sedate routes along the river. The only bad thing is that you have to leave and return home.
