I GAVE UP MY TIME FOR FREE TO HELP CREWE YMCA AND THEY THANKED ME BY IGNORING ME !!!!!! NO RESPECT NO BASIC MANNERS UTTERLY UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT !!!! I applied for a job as a ;Foyer Coach' 3 years ago, didnt pass the interview yet received very encouraging feedback suggesting I volunteer. A year later, I volunteered, gave up around 15 houres of my time, showed a good ability to engage with the residents and offer guidance. I accompanied residents on several day trips, and began to get to know some of them as well as the staff. I was very enthusiastic and have years of relevant experience in helping disadvantaged people. I was hoping to go in and do some volutary CV writing, action planning etc. Subsequently NOBODY rang, texted and I was completely ignored !!!!!( great way to say thanks !!!) To add insult to injury, I recently applied for a job here which was perfectly matched my experience, only to be turned down flat at the application stage, ( having put 3 hours work into the application.) If this sounds like sour grapes, youre absolutely right, the place seemed chaotic, poorly managed (if at all) with no sense of focus, direction or professionalism in preparing residents for their future. It basically appeared that the place was being run by the residents .......... nothing wrong with that, but the staff appeared utterly clueless !! The 'Company Seretary' is basically just an Admin Assistant !
