Given 2 stars as the quality of the product is really good. However the service was beyond poor. 6 week guarantee to get a door installed took 13 weeks!!! No communication as to where my door was. I had to send chaser email after chaser email to get a response only to be told they're short staffed and the door got rejected by quality control TWICE! (They should think about changing Suppliers if they cant get a door right twice). Fitter broke my light whilst installing which I appreciate was an accident. However after the installation I told them I wasn't happy with the service and that since they failed to meet there end of the deal getting the door installed within 6 weeks plus the stress of having to chase them constantly the price should be negotiated. They refused to offer any discount and not even offered to cover the cost of getting our light fixed. Love the door but wow what a shocking service they provide. There a definitely better options out there!

Crown are quite poor overall. I don't tend to leave bad reviews but this is one of those rare occasions when I will. Maybe it will save someone else some hassle. In hindsight I wish I'd left a more honest Checkatrade review but I gave Crown the benefit of the doubt as I thought I was just unlucky on one occasion. The short version is I'm starting to doubt the quality of the work and getting things fixed takes a long time. If you want the longer story about my dealings, here you go. I had some fascias replaced by Crown and although it looks quite good and the price was reasonable I've needed three separate repairs within the first year. Each time has required several phone calls to get anywhere. There is only one repairman and apparently he's very busy(!) so the repairs can take a while. The latest repair (some lead is hanging precariously from my window) is going to happen 11 days after I first reported it. The other two repairs (one of them was when the lead fell off completely) both took over a week. The silly thing is it took literally about five minutes to fix in the end because one of the original engineers lived near me and did it on his way past. A ladder went up, a board was removed, the lead went in and I had a waterproof window again. When you're waiting for a fix Crown won't keep you informed so you may start to think you've been forgotten. Once I had been forgotten (there was no record of me ringing apparently) so it was lucky I checked. If you try raising a complaint or ask if they could keep you updated if/when things go wrong they won't. Their attitude is they're a successful business, the system is what it is and they're not going to do anything differently for anyone. Maybe I'd have got somewhere if I'd been an angry customer but as a calm one they're not that bothered.

I liked this company - from the order to the installation of my new door they were faultless. I would use them again. The door fitter spent a long time getting the door fitting spot on.
