Went on a tour today and to be honest the deer spotting was secondary to the wonderful company of our guide - what an amazingly knowledgeable man with a vast amount of life experience! It made it such an interesting hour and a half. We felt genuinely privileged to have talked to him and listen to his incredible life experiences. A great man with a genuine love for his deer. A lovely experience all round. The deer were BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for a great time!

An amazing afternoon. We stumbled across this place whilst visiting Dumfries, not many had heard of it so it really is a hidden gem. We spent the afternoon learning about the history of the timber plantation and the hundreds of deer that live there, we got some amazing photos. This was a highlight of our trip for me.

We had a great experience at the Deer Park recently. It was so informative and great to see the deer so closely. Our guide Richard was a really nice guy, answering any questions and being enthusiastic about the Park and its many deer. We would like to return when the visitor Centre and cafe is complete. We would definitely recommend visiting.
