It's closed due to asbestos, but the surrounding area is stunning.

Scenery is fantastic, well worth the effort to get here. Bothy closed because of asbestos, but left open for emergency.
Useful for DofE as it gave us some shelter before camping for the night. Nice and cozy
PLEASE NOTE: This bothy is currently closed due to contamination with asbestos. Apart from that its a wonderful bothy in a great location. It is a good base for trips to the Munros around Ben Alder. The bothy has 3 separate rooms each equipped with a table and a flat area for sleeping. As all bothies Culra bothy has no facilities, running water or electricity. There is at least one fireplace but you must bring your own fuel. As noted before the bothy is currently closed due to asbestos and although it is not locked, I would not recommend staying there.
Great spot
