Dance Club Latino (DCL) is a society based at the University of Birmingham which offers classes in all of the "social"​ (Street Latin) Latin Dances, including Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Reggaeton and many more! The main aim of social dance is to have fun and relax, not to impress a panel of judges. Every year annually DCL hosts an all-day dance festival in the Guild of Students building and BALL in the Aston Webb building's Great Hall in semester 2 of the University calendar. This event is one of the biggest student-run salsa events in the UK, where every year the society attracts 100s of students from across the country to come and join us for a day and night filled with workshops, an inter-uni competition and performances from some of the best in the UK and Europe!
