The staff in all the branches i have dealt with are friendly, helpful and polite, however my laser eye surgery hasn't turned out as planned yet. I had lasik surgery 11 months ago which didn't get me the guaranteed 20/20 vision, but I have just over a month ago had an enhancement procedure carried out which in the end was lasek surgery. Somewhat more painful than lasik might I add. My eyes still aren't right but I have been informed that they can take upto six months to fully heal after lasek. One eye has been left long sighted and my other one has been left short sighted, making my vision not the best to be totally honest. I sincerely hope that it is just part of the healing process.... if I do not achieve the full 20/20 vision that was advertised though I be looking at getting a full refund from opticalexpress. However if my vision does get to the advertised level I will edit my reviews to suit.

Excellent care throughout from initial visits to after my procedure. I wanted to see my surgeon pre-operatively and this was arranged for me (due to covid restrictions I was given the choice) I am delighted with the outcome of my multifocal lens replacement. From my check up on day 1 I've achieved 20/20 vision or better. I had to go back to Newcastle for some of my after care but also in my home town branch of optical express. I felt that the optometrist I saw for the appropriate pre-op assessments was extremely professional and thorough and made me feel safe. My surgeon also reassured me and full explanation given and my consent obtained. The only comment I can say is I wasn't adequately prepared for the initial extreme blurred vision but on post op day 1 I could see!! Everything is explained and informative and safety is paramount at all times. I chose to have both eyes treated at same time and I am happy that I did. There is no continuity of seeing same optometrist for aftercare but each time I have had excellent care and advice and treatment for dry eyes. All in all I can totally recommend optical express and I love the freedom of being spec free. Its amazing.

Excellent service , every thing was explained clearly, from cost to procedure to aftercare. I was nervous about the procedure, but I was put at ease and it was totally painless. I would recommend anyone to have lens replacement surgery through Optical Express. I visited the Darlington branch for consultation and aftercare. The staff there are so wonderful. My eyesight is now better than 20/20 vision. Absolutely fantastic, no contact lenses and no glasses needed. I am absolutely delighted!
