Chicken was very ropey looking had 2 young children with us who would not eat ,but couldn’t blame them. Found staff quite unfriendly also

Very poor food, had the chicken burger in which you would really expect chicken breast....it was chicken thigh....not appetising chicken burger at all....two mouthfuls and it ended up in the bin. The 'Leon' fries aren't any better and we're quite rubbery. To top it off the fridge for the bottled drinks does not work....If I wanted a warm drink I would have had a cup of tea. If you are after some quick food landslide at East Midlands airport go to the arrivals hall.....there is a Greggs there instead of having the poor food that 'Leon' serves.
The food is absolutely atrocious. Microwave garbage. They can't even cook fresh rice. Just reheated processed packet food. And the chicken.... Deep fried from a frozen bag. Never been to this airport before. It's the only place landside to eat a hot meal. If I were you guys pop to WH Smith grab a simple sandwich. Summary Expensive meal to throw in the bin.
Do not eat if the airport is empty. Got below average with chicken harissa smelling of old oil which we returned. The wrap was just plain and not tasty at all. The airport was almost empty with only handful of passengers and the restaurant was completely empty, which is probably why the food was not good at all. Two stars because staff was helpful and friendly.
Food was awful. The chicken burger was watery and the fries over baked and rubbery. A waste of 22.
