Lovely museum, mostly open air so felt safe enough for 2020. Staff taking precautions - we even had our own booth on the steam train. Would highly recommend and definitely will be visiting again

Our family went to Didcot in September but I forgot to post a review. The volunteers/staff were brilliant and did their best to make the day enjoyable despite the tricky situation. It is a bit of a walk to the museum from the main car park, more so if you are the sort of family that talk too much and miss signposts. Greeted by a very cheerful host in period dress and all socially distanced. Huge site so keep an eye on little ones and this is a working museum so be aware of moving train stock. And this the beauty of Didcot. Everything here is real and you can get right up close to and talk to the volunteers working to maintain/restore the stock. We found everyone very chatty and keen to talk to us. None of my teens were bored, they are all into heritage, and I think there was a fair mix of interactive, education and viewing pleasure. And the carriages are lovely! Well done Didcot and we hope you can re-open soon.

Enjoyed several visits to this wonderful place this summer and autumn. Everything was very well run and managed in a way which felt safe and created minimal restrictions to the enjoyment of the visit. The variety of outdoor displays which changed regularly were a particular highlight, as were the rides in vintage carriages and changing displays in and outside of the shed. The range of cakes was impressive and the staff/volunteers very friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful experience, our family attended the steaming into Christmas event and it was extremely well presented and hosted!
