Experiences at the Giant Store cafe are mixed. The female staff running the cafe on a Sunday afternoon have been observed to be quite rude towards members of the public. For example, two ladies chatting outside the shop, late on a sunday afternoon, were asked in a very abrupt manner to 'move on' by a young female assistant despite the fact that they were the only people present outside the shop, socially distancing with no other persons in close proximity. A different more friendly tone could have been adopted by the member of staff who seems to be using her position in a negative manner to disempower and embarass customers. Additionally, when a complaint was made regarding the excessively high temperature of a hot drink purchased as a take away, the same female assistant was rude again to a different lady customer making the customer feel uncomfortable. This is such a pity as the male member of staff serving in the cafe is friendly and always helpful. Whoever is responsible for training the staff in the cafe really needs to address this type of rude and disrespectful attitude and seek to improve the communication skills of these sunday female staff.

Very friendly and helpful staff, who made buying a bike really a really easy experience especially for my girlfriend, they were able to fit the bike for her really well ensuring she can go out for very comfortable rides. Lots of choice of bikes, clothing, tools and other things. There is also a coffee shop which is perfect to stop at after a day in the saddle, I can highly recommend the cake!

After an eventful day of riding and finishing up snapping my chain I decided to go here to get my bike checked over and chain replaced. I was pointed over to the mechanics department where a really helpful nice guy talked me through a few things as I am new to the sport. I had lots of questions which he gladly answered whilst my bike was fixed. Nothing seemed to be an issue and his passion for bikes was obvious. Great first experience here, I will be back for sure

The staff are very professional polite and welcoming when you walk through the door I used the mountain bike trail for the first time it is excellent for the beginner not so much for the professional type of Ryder are not demanding enough but for you to go out and waste a couple of hours it's great fun I certainly will be using it again and you can have a cup of coffee and a browse in the shop when you get back
