Dominion Cinema Reviews | Rating 4.8 out of 5 stars (8 reviews)

Dominion Cinema is located in Edinburgh, United Kingdom on Newbattle Terrace. Dominion Cinema is rated 4.8 out of 5 in the category motion pictures and film in United Kingdom. The Cameron family have been entertaining the Edinburgh community for nearly 80 years. The philosophy of the business is very simple: We focus on giving all our patrons a very special VIP experience. The Dominion is a fabulous Art Deco building and we are very proud to be a Scottish family run business now onto the fourth generation. We are all committed to striving to offer the very best of customer service and to bringing the finest of film making to you in the most comfortable of surroundings. We are supported by a brilliant team of qualified technicians and enthusiastic film lovers who embrace the ethos of the business. 2017 is a very exciting year for us as we introduce a brand new first class screen giving all our patrons both fantastic luxury seating and full table service. We wanted to take the frustration away from our patrons having to queue for ticket collection and for sweets and refreshments. So we have allocated our seating and designed a new entrance, exclusive to our first class patrons, and created a bar inside the screen. This allows us to give full table service to our patrons directly to their seats and eliminate the need to queue. We are now in the process of completing our new gin and wine bar which will open in early 2017 with the emphasis on both great quality gins and exclusive wines. This will give our patrons a warm and comfortable place to relax before their film starts. We are also thrilled to be able to offer a truly unique venue for our parties. We have great flexibility and are able to provide bespoke events for 200 plus, down to more intimate affairs for 20 guests. It is such a pleasure to be able to offer something a little different both in terms of the luxury feel and the history of the cinema. We support a number of charities and are always delighted to discuss the options. The Cameron Family

When times get better for us all, this is one of the finest cinemas in Scotland ( still a bit old school, which is great ). The Cameron family, have owned it for decades. So there are still the old touch about things, which make's it an enjoyable experience. Very comfortable seat's. I really highly recommend a visit here.

Like an old movie theater. Very different from other cinemas. Classy, elegant, nice armchairs and the most handsome / pretty staff, I've ever seen in a cinema. The sound was really good, the screen even if it was small, it was very good and the leather seats comfortable. I'll be back soon, for sure.

A diamond among the dross of some of the more modern buildings. Very comfortable seating. Let's hope it survives.

Such good value for money! We went "first class" so shared a sofa that reclined and had waitress service! Soft drinks were refillable too! Not much more than a normal cinema, if any. Great experience!

An absolute gem! We were in the first class cinema where in the evening you can have drinks and snacks served at your table. Very comfortable reclining seating and lovely family feel. Warm and cosy. A cut above!

I miss going here with my granny when we lived in Morningside. Best seats ever.

Amazing cinema! Much better than the multiplexes. Went for first class and didn't regret it. Only slightly more than you'd pay for two basic seats at a city centre cinema chain and you get a very comfy reclining couch & table service. Lovely way to enjoy a film. Would actually have liked a short intermission at longer films (went to see Star Wars) to top up your drink as don't like to disturb others to go out.
