We absolutely recommend Darren and David to anyone wanting to drill a borehole. Despite being faced with an extremely challenging location in terms of access (two other drilling companies rejected the work), Darren and David were unfazed and tackled the job with a relentless 'can do' positive attitude. The borehole was completed to a very high standard which is not surprising considering the wealth of experience they have accrued over many years. The proof of this lies in the fact that the borehole they drilled for us has perfect PH without the need for balancing medium to be added into the filtration system. This is in contrast to a neighbour's borehole no more than 50 yards away which runs too acidic. Darren and David simply know how to drill a borehole correctly.

Darren Hughes of D Hughes Welldrillers Ltd was asked by me to visit and inspect a well that needs specialist filling. He has courteously answered all of my phone calls and emails and given freely of his time answering my many questions with regard to the work entailed - unfortunately we have not got as far as accepting his quote and due to circumstances outside of Darren's control it is unlikely that we will be able to. Such a shame!
In any business or contractual relationship, it is important to both trust that the company you're dealing with is honest, and that you can be confident of its abilities. I have been designing boreholes for many years and D. Hughes Well Drillers are always one of the first on the tender list. When things do not go exactly as planned, which is sometimes the case, they always go the extra yard to ensure that the work is done to exacting requirements. They are always available to talk to, response times are excellent and their equipment is very well maintained. I would not hesitate to recommend Darren & David Hughes to anyone.
We found this company to be very professional at every stage of having our bore hole completed. The work they did was first class and the price quoted was the price we paid even though the depth of the bore hole was considerably deeper than the initial quote given. They carried out a detailed survey and suggested the best place to bore the hole and the direction of the pipework into our property. At every stage of the drilling they told us what was to be expected and how long the total drilling would take. The operating instructions given to us was very clear and precise and the finished job is fantastic as far as pressure of water is concerned. I would not hesitate in recommending this company to anyone who wishes to have a bore hole drilled, they are honest, professional and have given us fantastic customer care.
Appalling service. Catalogue of lies, delays, errors and unprofessionalism. The work was never completed because they tried to renege on their original fixed price contract when it didn't go to plan for them. The result was that I was left out of pocket and in a far worse position than prior to them starting. There are many far more professional and well regarded drillers in the market place and I would strongly advise using them! The true test of the ethics of a business is how they behave when things go wrong, being able to take responsibility for their own work, and working to find a solution that is not to the detriment of the customer - and this outfit fails on all counts.
