We have been at Myra's before and were very impressed with the quality of food. Back then we were the only party in the restaurant. This time we pre-booked a table as it was bank holiday monday and presumed last day of the eat out help out scheme. It obviously was busy, but considering the spaced out tables one would think less busy than it could have been. After we ordered and got the starters with a little wait but still reasonable time (about 20mins), the main course took a lot longer to arrive. Two stir fried noodles arrived at our table after around 40 min, my mother in law got her salmon another 20 minutes later and my wife got her stir fry noodles over 90 minutes later (ordered at 6:30pm and arrived at the table at 8:15pm)!The owner offered us a 20 voucher as compensation (roughly the price of the service charge that was added onto the bill)?! Considering that our bill was well over 100 for very little, I felt this was taking the mickey! Surely every customer that evening would have booked their table and the owners knew their numbers, being in business for many years? Yes, the food was tasty and good quality, but if I had driven home to Wimborne, made some stir fry myself and driven back to Dorchester I would have been quicker! Ps. -If you have kids (our's are 7 and 10 and not the strongest eaters), get an \adult sized portion\ for each. We deeply regretted to have them share their 16.50 plate of noodles which was small and left them hungry!) - Don't book this place when you expect it may be busy. - Be prepared to pay a premium price for excellent food and whilst the food is presented nicely, the restaurant could do with a professional interior designer and overhaul - it feels stuck in time. Over-priced, overrated and not sure what the added service charge is for??

Friendly and welcoming staff. The food was incredible. Everything tasted great. Definitely one of my favourite places for food in Dorchester. I highly recommend it.

I knew that Myra's Kaiseki was going to be good just from the feel of the place. If you like Japanese food, or if you'd like to try it for the first time, go to this restaurant!! It appears to be family run and the food was excellent and the service understated and relaxed. If you like a cocktail, try theirs. The dry martini, using saki instead of gin or vodka, was one of the best I've ever had. The vegetable rolls I had as a starter were different to any I've had before and delicious. The main course of chicken breast in an udon noodle soup was sublime. Top marks from me and a restaurant I hope to revisit.

Delicious food and great cocktails. Fantastic service and an excellent Japanese wine recommendation. Would recommend the sushi platter (and sake martinis) in particular.

We had very nice meal there. Food was great. Japanese beer went quite well. It was 4 of us and as a starter we decided to share some of the sharing plates and starters as well. Chicken nuggets and octopus balls were great.
