It was with great sadness when I learnt that Downham Lions has now closed. I spent 7 years as a proud member chairing The Welfare Committee and getting involved with the establishment of the young people's Leo's club. It played a big part of my life at the time with so many fond memories of taking a couple in need for a Yarmouth holiday, Father Christmas visits and the fun of attending meetings full of humour and laughter but the key is we got the work done. My best wishes to old chums Chris Moreton, John Fox, Gerry Ryan and Bob Archibold who were solid Lions fully prepared to help the community should ever the need arise. Once this ghastly virus is under control would be a delight to reconnect with you gentlemen after so many happy years of friendships forged. Andy Fuller
