From our first consultation, where she re-assuringly understood my symptoms, expressed a likely scenario and managed my expectations of what was to happen, to my follow up appointment after surgery, 4 months later, which given we were in the middle of a pandemic, I thought was amazing. Dr Olivia Barney was a fabulous surgeon/consultant. She understood very quickly that I was worried about every aspect of the operation and I felt completely comfortable talking to her. She saw me on several occasions explaining every step in a caring way until I felt happy to proceed.
