As one half of Beggy & Peryl, I was super excited to display my craft pieces down at Dungeness Beach Batch Patch. The space is perfect for exhibiting and selling work. It's small and intimate and ideal for welcoming visitors and chatting with people about the work on offer. Paddy and Bridget are wonderful hosts, really helpful but also give you your own space to do as you will. There's plenty of room in the garden area to display more or to work whilst folk are milling about - and great for me as I work online and the WiFi signal stretches to that area. I hope that others are able to see the potential for this space. Whether you're a photographer, an artist, a writer, just visiting for the day and need a hub, or wanting to hold a workshop, (and a plethora of other things), this space is fantastic and could be utilised in so many ways. Much love to Paddy & Bridget for having me and I look forward to visiting as well as exhibiting in the future.

I was fortunate to be offered the Beach Batch Patch for two days over the August Bank Holiday. Paddy and Bridget were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the whole show. The showing space is a beautiful calming area comprising a small, chapel like hut which is absolutely ideal for showing art. The outdoor area was also great for me to display my Ceramics and 2D work. Over the period of the show I met visitors from the UK and America, China and all over Europe. I have to say my work looked great at the Beach Patch and the show gave me a chance to evaluate what I do in a unique, calm space. Paddy and Bridget made me two delicious lunches and the cups of tea just kept arriving! At the end of the two days I was given lots of help taking things down and I left thinking that the time had spent at the Beach Patch had been a really valuable, energising experience. Recommended!

A great – and totally different – place for a writing workshop. It's the kind environment which is instantly stimulating. Students were instantly engaged; fresh air, astonishing landscapes, plenty of potential everywhere. Recommended.

A great sunny spot. Had some lovely fresh mackerel on the bbq. Would recommend for a whole host of events. Splendid.

Review by Andy Maguire, artist, of Hythe, Kent. Just spent the weekend of 10th and 11th August in the Batch Patch AnX at Dungeness Open Studios. I hired it primarily to showcase my artwork but had an open mind as to how I could react to events and people who like me had been drawn to Dungeness that weekend. I must say, it was a very memorable weekend for me. I felt very happy to spend time in the space which has so much potential. It’s packed to the gills with Paddy’s creative wizardry, I’m planning to book another visit in the future as there is so much more I feel I could get from the space, for instance, I would like to take advantage of the stage area which opens out onto the beach. I spent most of the time in the studio and the rather magical, sheltered and peaceful garden. There was a constant stream of visitors to the Open Studios providing plenty of opportunities to sell and promote my work. Paddy and Bridget’s hospitality was boundless and they were always available to help and advise. All in all it was brilliant to spend a couple of days in the unique world they’ve created out there at the edge of the Dungeness Peninsula. Andy Maguire.
