The Majestic Line (Scotland) Ltd Reviews | Rating 4.5 out of 5 stars (3 reviews)

The Majestic Line (Scotland) Ltd is located in Dunoon, United Kingdom on 18 Highland Ave, Sandbank. The Majestic Line (Scotland) Ltd is rated 4.5 out of 5 in the category cruise line company in United Kingdom. THE MAJESTIC LINE (SCOTLAND) LIMITED is a leisure, travel & tourism company based out of UNIT 3 HOLY LOCH MARINA RANKINS BRAE SANDBANK, DUNOON, United Kingdom.|There are many reasons for starting a business but to save beautifully crafted wooden hulled fishing trawlers from the chainsaw must be one of the most unusual. That is exactly what friends Andy Thoms and Ken Grant did. In 2004 they bought and converted their first vessel, the Glen Massan, to a mini cruise liner, sailing out of Holy Loch, near Dunoon to cruise the wonderful sheltered lochs and islands of Argyll. In May 2007 a sister vessel, The Glen Tarsan was launched. Our third vessel, the Glen Etive was built by Ardmaleish Boatbuilding Co. Ltd on the Clyde in 2016. Our fourth boat, Glen Shiel, also built by Ardmaleish Boatbuilding was launched in 2019. Like her sister she is finished in traditional wood and brass, with spacious accommodation and a steel based hull. The Glen Shiel has two engines and has been designed specifically for faster voyages to St Kilda and further North on the West Coast of Scotland. The Majestic Line has helped establish a vibrant small-ship cruising sector in Argyll and the Hebrides. It is the only company with a fleet of 4 vessels, all ensuite. We offer a range of 3, 6 and 10-night cruises as well as whole boat charter. The Majestic Line cruises are designed to reveal the hidden beauty of the sheltered lochs and islands of Argyll and the Hebrides, which are often undiscovered by visitors to the area. We get extremely positive feedback from our guests and this is mainly due to the crews on our boats, who provide an exceptional standard of hospitality. Our main aim is to amaze and delight our guests on board. We take our guests to idyllic and scenic places, provide a range of shore trips, cook amazing meals from locally sourced ingredients and generally serve their every need in a most unobtrusive way. We are very proud of the very positive customer feedback we get from our guests, from booking through to disembarking.

I have been involved with the company for a few years as relief skipper and trainer and have made some fantastic friends and memories with the company. The cruising ground is one of the best in the world, the food is the best I have ever eaten on the boat and to slow life down for a week is an experience never forgotten.

I have had the pleasure of being employed to do 4 trips (so far) with the Majestic Line, 2 as engineer and 2 as Skipper. All 4 trips were aboard the converted fishing boat MVGlen Tarsan. There are just 12 small comfortable cabins with ensuite facilities, so it doesn't take long to meet everyone Every effort is made to make the guests comfortable and safe, and to comply with their requirements and requests. The Company provides massive support to ensure that everyone has the best possible experience. Food is a major feature of the trip and there is a highly skilled chef with a generous budget to guaranteed mealtimes are enjoyable culinary and social events. There are many trips ashore, mainly using the tender as a water taxi. Plans have to be flexible because of the weather, but the geography of the west coast means that there is usually somewhere scenic and interesting to visit.

Couldn't speak highly enough of this family run undertaking. Totally organised friendly helpful and when I had a bereavement in my family and had to cancel they were so understanding. If you like small boats fresh air lovely company and exceptional food and standards to give them a try. It's a holiday with a difference but I would highly recommend it to those who like to do something different. Well done this company
